Gus
| | | The problem is that the forum is essentially dead. I check in once a week or so hoping for something new and glorious, but it's getting increasingly rare. Coupled with a lack of players that actively participate in the community, I doubt that this would get very far. Ah well. And Vega, please please please open up your Vanilla Sky game. It was open when you first got the time, and that flippy drop that you did was a glorious thing to behold. I'd love to see it again. |

Vega
| | | My suggestion is a solution to the very 'problem' that you assume would make my suggestion pointless.
And that's a curious request Gus, coming from the guy who stole that gold. The answer is no. Figure it out yourself. |
|
Gus
| | | "Stole" - I resent that. I always loved that level, played it to hell and back, and didn't use your technique to get my gold. Maybe the term "earned" would be more appropriate.
My point remains with regard to the forums: very few people are active - rewarding those that do is great, but the fact remains that there are almost none of them. If the allure of this game can't draw them into participation, I doubt that the promise of a reward system would. Call me cynical if you will, but I get the impression that people enjoy the game more than the discourse surrounding it. |

Vega
| | | you stole it. and you're cynical (you said i could) |

Gus
| | | Gimme a palm pilot, the end of my exams , and a few dozen Red Bull cans, and this is on Vega! |
|
Vega
| | | a palm pilot? no. i don't have one. i cannot make your exams end. red bull is pure garbage. don't drink it. i don't have any of those either, so i will not be giving you any. and what is on? some kind of challenge? have fun Gus. I haven't played since December. I was millimeters away from taking Kong back from Spence (obtaining low 57 in my sleep), and then I stopped playing. I'll take it back one day. Anyway I wish you well (sort of).

But back on topic, in order to successfully implement an upvote comments system, there need to comments to upvote...
in other words- this needs to come to android. Preferably while the market is still lacking good games. |

Vega
| | | in order to successfully implement anything in this game, Sz needs to come back.

| | | Great dialog! I would like to award Vega 20 reputation points: 10 for agreeing with me that it would be cool to be able to "like" posts and 10 for telling Gus he stole Vanilla Sky and that he's cynical.
As for Spence's suggestion that it needs to be on Android - That would be great for BoD competition, but I'm not the least bit impressed with games I've played on android phones. For example, angry birds is brilliant on my iPhone and horrible on a droid. The touch screen isn't as accurate and the graphics aren't as good. Maybe one of the problems is that there are so many manufacturers of phones for android, that the quality standard isn't as high as the iphone. This same sort of thing happens with PC vs. Mac hardware.
Btw, I'm still playing... |

| | | Keep in mind, the Droid is a keyboard-based phone. The touch screen isn't that great. As opposed to my Captivate which has arguably the best screen in any phone. Graphics are better than the iPhone 4 as well. |

| | | It's funny though, has anyone else tried e-mailing him. I tried to contact him about iBoDesign (which was pretty much done years ago) and none of my e-mails went through. |

Mr.pickle.
| | | Then there is me...I have the Palm Pre which has been declared a horrible phone and I would rather keep this one than have an iphone or a droid even if I could have one for free hahaha. You think you have multitasking..."sigh"
Anyhow, we are all in agreement here, an upvote system on the forums would be usefull to prevent just tons of people repeating each other, and would also probably make a more clear victor in our millions and millions of arguments we have had here(un-official victors that is, majority does not always represent the correct view)
And we also all agree we need to contact SZ about finishing the iphone's iBoDesign app, as well as porting the app to driod. Any site of sz would be a welcome one on this forum to all eyes I believe.
And lastly we all agree Gus is cynical. How about we don't go into what we all think I am |

| | | I haven't posted since..... years ago? Never mind the forums... I honestly don't play BoD anymore. I visited the forums now b/c an email reminded I got bumped to #134. I was hoping for a new, official level pack, but nadda. That may have resparked some interest. I've switched BoD from pOS to iOS. There are just too many games for the iOS I'd like to get through before coming back to pOS. |
|
BikerBrian
| | | ackmondual, there is a "new" official pack since the last time you submitted. Download Spring Revival and give it a whirl. I think you'll like it.
I know what you mean about so many games being available for iOS. I have my iPhone loaded with them, but always find myself clicking on BoD.
Come on back and join us. If you simple complete and upload Spring Revival it would be enough points to gain you 20+ spots in TTC. Good Luck! |

Mr.pickle.
| | | If I ever buy a new ipod touch I will probably start playing again, i have one, and it has bod on it, but its a 1st gen and it runs all choppy, not to mention there is tons of lines across the screen because the thing is ritarded lol...Its still probably a game that I play more than anything else on itouch, I just really dont use it for games much... |
|
ackmondual
| | | Ugh, I wish there was some way to set forum notifications.
@BikerBrian, Can't remember when you took 1st, but congrats man!
I actually did try some of the Spring Revival levels. I believe what discouraged me was I checked my IpT and noticed that not all of my levels transferred over from my Palm handheld. ONly some of them did. When I switched from an IpT3 to an Ipod Touch 4, some of my save data from previous games not transferring over also killed interest in them.
While I haven't completely given up on BoD, I can't make any promises. I've just been busy in general as well. Make no mistake about it... even though I'm not as wild about this game, I still consider BoD to be one of the most brilliant concepts out there. |
