Up to: IdeasSuggest a new feature for the game!
Kristopher | Many new ideasI have several suggestions for the next version of bike or die:
The obstacle mines should blow up when run into.
Players should be able to replace the biker's black head with their own; maybe they could draw one.
Until users can add their own bitmaps into Bike or Design, it should come with some more pictures, including fire hydrants and animals.
The game should have the option of running as fast as the palm will let it; sometimes the frame rate seems to slow.
The 'submit best times' part of this web site should accept more than one recording at a time.
Obstacles should appear on the map.
The map should include an accurately sized picture of the biker; sometimes it is hard to tell how big the level really is because all you can see are colored dots.
Players should have the option of viewing levels with default colors (grass ground and blue sky) instead of the level's colors; the colors on 'Touchbricks' were really annoying.
This game should come with every new Palm, instead of Solitaire.

I usually play BoD when I'm not supposed to so the audio is usually mute as well. As of now, the only way to know for sure whether or not you hit a mine or just crashed into solid formation is through the audio. That actually gives me another idea. From the unique sound of the audio when u hit a mine, how about the mine sticks out its tongue and mocks ya
If you replace the biker's head with something of your own, game play has to be retained, else user be barred from high score submissions. It'd be one up if users replace the default head with an "invisible" pixel head and easily crunch through low clearance territory.
I have never touched the BoD level editor, but I figured that's what was happening with those visual "doodads". I agree with this as well. Only cause for concern is ppl who abuse this by putting in "inappropriate" stuff like shwasticas and penises (which in truth these don't offend ME). Don't know if level packs have to be pre-approved prior to distribution, but we'll let the devs worry about this.
I thought the game seemed slow sometimes by 'human perception'. All on perception. It's physics based, but more like physics based 'on the moon' which could play tricks on what ppl may be used to as well.
Don't give rat's ass about submissions, but that's only my opinion
Going by your response to my other post, now I know "obstacles" refers to them mines.
A better alternative to the to-scale-maps would be keep the current map displays, but draw a rectangle on top that map to indicate what the current area the Palm screen is able to view. Similar to playing RTS games and seeing a white rectangle on the minimap. If the rectangle encircles the ENTIRE map view, then that's one small level, but if another similar looking map has a rectangle that only covers 1/24th of the whole map, then you got alot of ground to cover.
I do hate maps with invisible line walls or platforms. If switching display to Outline and B& W reveals these, then great. Else, personally, I'm comfy with the current color set for map previews. Damn does TouchBricks such! |

| | | My favorites: change the level's colors to the default ones and submit more than one recording than 1 on #2. |
