New ideas for the next version

How about making the game use the arrow keys on thepalm universaal wireless keyboard?

On th map screen, mabye we could draw a route we would like to take and then we can use the line in the game to help finish the level?

It might be nice to be able to save your progress ina level ONCE so that if we die on very hard levels we don't have to start from the beginning.

Customisable suspension would be awesome, so that we can adjust our bike for certain obstacles.

How about a random level feature where mabye 5 random abstacles generated by the game were put after each other for instant fun and levelpack free replay value?

Mud. When we ride over it, it moves and changes. For instance we could dig a trough with it, or use it to make destructable walls.

Mr.pickle.
awsome sz!I of course still stand by the old stickman but still I must admit that looks awsome.

I still think you should asing a boton for restarting the level, reaching up to tap the top of the screen anoyes me.....

Wow, I guess this is why you will not support the Palm V?
It's impressive if you can zoom in real time; software-based scaling is typically avoided.
PiNerd
Sz, this is stunning. I aggree with Mr Pickle, we sould have a button for restarting although I'm not too bothered because it's pretty easy to die if you want to .

How does the multi-texture work in Bike or Design 2? Unless you have done this really well I can see it making things very difficult . Can we see a video of BoDesign 2 please?

The sticky effect works well with the splatter, and the portal looks very cool, but the updraft is a bit old style. Anyway don't worry because I can't think of a better way of doing it ! Updrafts mabye should be 50% translucent so you can see the background through them (even the lines is what I mean) because updrafts seem to make levels a bit messy so I don't like using them that much after nasty Peak Biker experience. Hehe.

Can we see how Bike or Paint (which should be called Bike or Decal) will work too? This could be done very badly or very well so mabye you could get some feedback?

Can't wiat for v2 to be released. Hurry up lol

Menu button-R will do a restart if you have a keyboard. I use it all the time.

Yea, i press menu button enter. Extremely useful.
Sz
in BoD 2 you can assign a button to restart the level, too:

regrettably, the level editor does not deserve the v2 tag, it's still the old school wireframe drawing application. textures are added as additional "layers" over the existing level shape.

(yeah, WYSIWYG would be better perhaps some day...)

Sz, I hate you for being so awesome > .<
PiNerd
Actually Sz that is what I was thinking of as being the best way to put textures on the levels!

Everyone check out Nerdio's Further Levels!

Love the little demo of the level editor too... you make it look like it's pretty simple.
I can't believe how much of a step up this looks... and hopefully built on the flawless physics engine of the original it'll be just as fun to play....
my only query? - will my Tungsten T3 manage to keep up playing this?
I am keeping my Palm PURELY because of bike or die at the moment... it's the only thing stopping me from moving to another platform really.
PiNerd
Wait a minute... Look at the I on the demo picture... It looks like it's hollow. Sorry.
Cody
Rats, I wish there was a zoom out for low-res palm, my mom's palm is high-res and I do so much better on hers because of the zoom out.
Sz
don't worry Cody, v2 can zoom out in low resolution

and here the new v2 feature for today: dancing biker!

Awesome. Just got my new Treo!!!!!!!!!!!! 680 Arctic. Had a little go with arcade reality. I think most of your games are an aquired taste. .
Mr.pickle.
ok thhats great sz!I was just making sure ya dident leave out something that might anoy some people
pinerd,I disagree I think all sz's games are awsome the first time ya see them,3d mines is alot of fun because it puts a fun twist on the clasic game minsweeper, touch bricks is like tetris on steriods and its twice as adicting as bejewled, the puzle aplication is just cool!,and arcade reality is no exeption its alot harder than the other games to be sure but its still my second favorate palm game(BOD is number one).

ahh yes and I cant forget the best of all sz'z games bike or die!the game that takes my to favorate things(stickmen and biking)and combins them into one!:D
PiNerd
Yeah, thats probably it, Arcade Reality is hard. Although I did spend a while getting to like BoD, I had the trial for like three months.

Luckily I DID come to my senses eventually.

I liked 3D mines straight away, and I am now going to try video jigsaw with my treo, it only works with photos on my old Z72s.
