[Xuzz] - I appreciate the information that you are giving, but this is a polarising topic.
Pro life believers will say conception, or as early a date as they can argue, is the point at which life should be respected.
Liberals will say that pregnancy is the greatest direct risk that a woman will experience in her life, iether mortaly, morbidly, mentally, or socially.
This is why termination of pregnancy is not supposed to be a social right, but that it is still arguable that the effects on the woman can be dramatic enough to carry out terminations into a late stage of pregnancy.

Arguing the grey area is frankly a waste of time in both cases.

I only hope that niether extreme wins out....
I know my position, and I understand the religeous stand point. but... to position the grey area as an acceptable place...
The unborn child should be respected as much as reasonable, and not terminated on a whim...
The mother's rights should be aknowledged that she is potentially affected by a significant risk to her life, body and mind, that cannot be measured on a mass-population basis, but is specific to each woman's experiences.

If you are a male... then you don't really get a vote... sorry, but you don't get to argue about the potential loss of life, continency, pelvic floor damage, pain, time whilst pregnant or fear of altered lifestyle with a child.

I hope that women will always have a firm but understanding practitioner who encourages safe sex (can we PLEASE have some education here) and the options to carry a child to term - perhaps for adoption, if not for parenthood - yet understands that that woman may be unaccepting of the risks to her body in carrying a child to term.

@ Lee - I completely agree with you about the abortion. There definately needs to be a balance between the 2 extremes. Definately women need to have their rights but we can't have it like a McDonalds drive through - grab the abortion and go on with their life.

There is such a thing as partial birth abortion, wich is where they wait for the baby to be born and then kill it and suck out the brains and haert,liver..other body parts and donate them to scientists for Resurch, this is legal(or it was last time I checked it may have been re illegalised when I wasent looking...), the doctors make around 10 grand off every time it happens.

I do not belive that a woman should have a choice in weather or not to kill her child ENLESS there is a serieos threat to her life, Technicly there is always SOME threat out there that she COULD die but most of the times its just an exuse cause there stupid and think kids are only more work and hardships(Witch they are but the fun\blessing of having kids greatly overwelms any trouble that happens, ask almost any parent and they will agree).

NOT TO MENTION I am in a familly of 5 kids(We have so much fun...

) not one of us was my mom at all that great of risk at having and never so much as considerd the option of aborting one of us (after it was made legal of cource, it was illigal got the first 2-3 of us)

Think about it, where does our oil\ gas come from? over here middle east, they take out the places selling it to us and its only a matter of time till our military as well as everything else in amarica runs out of fuel.

NO!, why? going green would not help for a least 50 years, why? because none of todays cars run on those types of gas yet, we wouldn't be able to get around, much less our military tanks,boats, planes, ect... so it would take FOREVER to phase all gas out and bring in all this "Natural" fuel(I dont see how gasaline is not natural as it also comes from the earth but....)We have enuf gas in alaska to keep us going for at least another 10-20 years easy! so why not drill? )insalation has multiple perposes! Say for instance you have a water bottle and you put a insalated cover around it with ice and water inside, it will stay colder that way than it will without the insalation right?
Thats because insalation works both ways, it can keep things warm as well as cold, it is basicly a neutriliser.
Say its in the middle of winter your warm air from your vents as well as the insulation keeps you warm right? and if the warm air gets broken it will stay reasonably warmish for the next 24 hours if you keep all dorrs and windows closed right? RIGHT!
Also in the middle of summer your insalation keeps you cool along with your air conditioning! the air conditioning goes out and your house will stay reasonably cool for around the same 24 hours keeping all the doors and windows shut.

SO! the conlusion is! Insulation keeps temperature the same as it always is, it has no more affect at warming than it does cooling!

PlEASE do not reply with simply making fun of my spelling and such, or simply throwing insults or simply stating how stupid I saposedly am please give full opinions.

THIS is why you are being told to drill in Alaska - and it's a good idea, but it won't last forever... it's a non-renewable resource and has a finite volume that will make it difficult to economically extract within our lifetime... Then the middle east will be back in the firing line...

Global warming though... is definitely hapenning... ask 99 out of 100 scientists, and they will agree on one thing... Global Warming, above and beyond any geologically historical cyclical level is a FACT.

They won't agree to what extent, but they will agree it's happenning... please provide contrary evidence, rather than uneducated rhetoric if wishing to refute this.
I will give you naievete, but I will not excuse a faith-based statement regarding global warming.

the question has pretty well gone beyond "can we fix it?" to more like "how bad will it get / what effect might it have?"

Go ask questions / research the issue... don't just believe your nearest advisor.

Watch something like Al Gore's Documentary... take it with a big pinch of salt (because it is jingoistic and alarmist in itsself), and realise that the MINIMUM effect of global warming is still likely to be DRAMATIC. - it's a big planet - try to imagine the shift in energy levels of the place all getting 1.8 degrees warmer on average...
ask the question "what could this do?" - keep asking questions.

I think from chatting with you in the past that you are a pretty impressionable lad, but certainly strong in opinion... go and arm that opinion with fact and research... I have done this, and it has empowered me, but there is insufficient space to properly discuss here.

As for Global warming, I am not well educated on this yet. Although I understand some of the implications that are occuring, I cannot pretend to be a good resouce on this subject at the moment. Perhaps shame on me.

Pickle, there' s nothing wrong with trying to "Go Green". It's a known fact that there is enough natural oil resources in the earth that could power the world for well past 50 years.
But there are other factors involved. There's no shortage of oil, but there is a great shortage of intelligence of how to utilize and distribute this great natural resource that the good lord gave us.
And I mean that both for both America and Saudi Arabia. Also, oil should NOT be trading in the futures market. The price per barrell affects the price of gas. And specualtion of supply/demand affect the price per barrell. So trading on futures contracts is affecting America's entire economy. also, the energy companies have benefited from HUGE (mega billions) profit gains as a result of this rise up. It's quite absurd actually.

The Founding Fathers of America were, infact, predominantly Christian. This is factual and proven. Besides that, the definition of "Seperation of Church and State" means that the government does not interfere with the church. NOT the other way around. Most people do not know this. Now churches are being forced to participate in actions that directly violate their own system of beliefs. Lawsuits are in the works (AS I TYPE THIS) that would require churches to perform same sex marriages. That's proposterous. It clearly defines in the bible that it is an abomination. Furthermore, marriage is a biblical union of man an women. Marriage was created by God, orchestrated by church, and is a deeply spiritual union. HOW DARE PEOPLE (ANY PEOPLE ON EARTH!) demand us to participate in destroying and mutating a ceremony that God created. DUH! The very definition of marriage was created for man and woman. Period. Period. Period.

New laws are being conjured up (by the minds of the insane) that would allow boys and girls (grade school) to chose their own gender based on how they feel for that day. If a boy feels girly, he can, with full permission, enter and use the little girls bathroom facility and authorities will take action against anyone who attempts to stop them (this is currently a on the books as a law in Colorado). Also, teachers will not be allowed to reference gender when speaking of Mommy and Daddy because it could potentially confuse the child if their "parents" participate in "alternative lifestyle". What a bunch NONSENSE!

C'mon folks. Without morals, what is there? What rules will be left? If all right and wrong becomes subjective to a person's opinion or how they 'feel' at that moment, what can we stand on then? The world wants to erase the wrongs that are inconvenient to their desires. Everyone knows that rape is wrong. But many people say that other wrongs are subjective. What's the basis. Who is to say that rape is wrong if other sins don't "feel" to a certain person.
