Mr.pickle. | Ideas for next version. ok every body I know that v1.5 just came out and its great! but there will be a next version eventualy ,am I right?
so here are me(and my brothers{the citic.})ideas,
#1.booster pads, sort of like in mario cart but that are maby sticky in some way so that when you land back wheel first on one that you don't flip and die, maby so that it only works if both wheels are on.
#2.slow down pads, sort of like increased fritcion(also a good idea) but instead of slowing you to a certain speed and keeping you there it slows you down to that speed and then stops working,at least till you go off and back on agin.
#3.moving ground, a bit like this,
of cource im terribly bad at art so I don't know if this will make sence or not but basicly a joint in the ground.
#4.bouncy ground(this idea belongs to th-champ and was not my ideabut I like it ),for a highr impactlevel that the bike can withstand,
to make him bounce higher, and anything els you guys can think of,sort of like a trampoline I gess(that might actuly be a good thing for it to look like).
please remember that I know sz has only just made the new version however there wil(hopefully)be a few more versions yet.
what do you all think, any good ideas there?
you can post some of your ideas for the next version to down below.
if anyone reads this thanks for just that. |

| | | sorry about any bad spelling I tried on this one |
| Mr.pickle.
| | | sorry agin I left some out, the moving ground would bring in a good timing factor.

| | | Those are good ideas. At least you used the image posting feature correctly. |

| | | not so much chance more timing. it could move other ways to you could make a spinning one,a growing and shortening one ,ect... |

| | | Heres a good one:
How many times do you find you are about to complete a level but out of nowhere you bump your head and die right at the end.
So what I propose is a "ducking" option. It uses a different key and it makes the biker duck his head and possibly save himself.
This feature would be enabled or disabled when a level is created so that only future levels can have the feature so it will not affect past gameplay.
This also allows for new level ideas with low ceilings where the head must be ducked. Maybe the biker will go slower when the head is ducked to create a sort of tradeoff. |

| | | You can already "duck" by iether tapping the brake, or popping a wheelie - and it has the downside that you pop up afterwards... so no... just make better level-designs.
Moveable ground objects sounds interesting.... though I think maybe a ground object that is "switched" when collecting a flag maight be better than a cyclically moving object - this means that alternative / fast routes won't be hamperred by a timing limitation of the level.
"Bouncy Ground" - can this not sort of be done already with updrafts? - given some thought? - otherwise, I forsee some issues with sprite collision.
Interesting stuff, as always - don't take on too much Sz! |

| | | Lee makes a good point. With the long list of new features introduced in the latest release, I think that should be enough for quite a while until we all get used to them. Let us keep in mind that even the levels with simple features are fun and challenging if made well. Exhaustingly long and/or complicated levels are usually not a positive unless made in way that allows the player to develop a consistent route that can be perfected. With the introduction of all these new features, the levels can already be a bit dizzying and I am fairly sure that we have not even seen the tip of the iceburg just yet.
This will all become more clear when we soon observe the yet to be conceived levels that are likely being crafted by the current whizbang BoD players at this very moment!

| | | I meant ducking like Super Mario!!! |
| Mr.pickle.
| | | ducking doesent make sence on a bike,at least it seems that way to me |

| | | I'd say out of all of those the one that I would love to see would be "soft" ground.
I would love to be able to design a level where you fall off of a platform and basically trampoline up to a flag or something. That would be TONS of fun!
As for the graphics I would love to be able to choose from a few different ground patterns or sky patterns in the level editor... |

| | | well how 'bout different terrains like mud and stuff? its like soft ground and friction. this opens tons of possibilities like sand and tar and even weeds heck! y don't we just throw in gravitational vortexes too? just kidding lol but seriously...
|
| Mr.pickle.
| | | hey vortex now theres an Idea!(lol)mud sounds cool to me,you could add it in with weather like rain or snow(don't know how rain or snow would efect the bike but it would be kinda cool... |
| Mr.pickle.
| | | another idea fo he booster ads,it could only work f both wheeles were tuoching and when they do they instantly stick,so you dont get thrown off. |

| | | One feature that I would like is a center of gravity. No matter where you are, you would be pulled toward the center of gravity. Like
\ l /
vvv
-> 0< -
^^^
/l\
The 0 is the center of gravity, the arrows, i kno they don't look like arrows, show where the bike would be pulled towards. It could also be reversed, where the arrows would point the opposite way. Then You could have a level where you go around a big circle. Or you could have one where you ramp and do like an eclipse around the center of gravity, and grab the flag. Like
___
/ \
v \
F 0 l
___ l
\ /
/
--/
____
Where 0 is the center of gravity, the \ is the ramp, the big arrow is the path for the bike, and the F is the finish. |
