You guys were talking about this before, and I dident really know what you were talking about, then this popped up on the yahoo home page today...It looks like a step in a totally different direction for palm! more iphoneISH..
Palm isn't gonna die for a while now,I think this will revive alot of old palm fans who had moved to blackberry...

Not possible. You can't code in any real language -- ONLY WEB PROGRAMMING !!

Who'd want to port a Palm app to a Palm anyway?
Mr.pickle.

It is possible if they open up the OpenGL ES to developers (what BoD uses on iPhone) -- then it would be easy. But Palm has not announced plans to open this up, so we have to wait and see .

apple only allowed web apps when the iphone was first released but then they changed their mind perhaps palm will do the same some day

I read somewhere about a palm Appstore similar to that of Apple's. So it should be coming, especially if they plan on sticking around for a few more years.
Mr.pickle.
Yeah..I don't know that palm can survive without the infamous bejeweled game..(hate that game but it is easilly the #1 bought palm game...)

Mike: Palm's appstore is for the downloaded web apps (what Web OS seems to be...) .

I just watched an hour-long video of it (while looking at other CES things ).

It looks good, but there was no mention of games. I remember the iPhone seemed just like that when it game out, but no guarantees Palm will be able to match the Appstore (which came out some time after the iPhone).
Mr.pickle.
if only I had an hour to look at that video...
