Classics Competition

I have an idea for a new competition; it would be similar to the Time Trial, but only use the older levelpacks for scoring. This would allow current players to compare themselves with PrayeR and Rachman! who have only played these levels.

This new competition would use these levels:
Standard Levels
SiuLun's Levels
Master KO's Levels
OrR's Levels
You Qi Levels

Total Race... Golden Club... Classics Competition...

Yes, but it doesn't really compare the old with the new because that is all they played. The rest of us have had our efforts diluted by all the other packs. If we spent the same amount of time playing the first 5 packs only, then it would be a true comparison.

For me if I want to compare myself to the other players, I just play Standard. That will compare you against everyone who has ever played. Also, Golden club doesn't work for that either since they got their medals a long time ago and if we were to take a Gold now, it would take months for it to come close to their score.

I like the idea Kristopher, I am just not so sure it is a very true comparison.

Yeah, cool idea, but I too think the Standard levels really do that job. Soon as you bring in other packs you're excluding people - e.g., only 174 people have ever submitted to YouQI levels, whereas there's 2448 now on Standard - this is where the old masters achievements will remain and be put to the test by the new guard...

COol idea, but we can already compare by looking at our own rankings on each of the packs.

It would be like the Total Race, because it doesn't change the goals of the competition much, so there is no reason not to add it.
