Btw replying to xuzz'z message forever ago that I dident see.
Like I said there is only 1 god. hence there are not any others therefore beliving in anything else, is not beliving in the wrong god it is beliving in nothing at all. Is that better? |

Pickle: That makes absolutely no sense. You say that there is only "1 god": How do you know that? You believe it from your religion. Now say that I am from a different religion, Hinduism for example. Hinduism is a polytheistic religion, it has more than one god. So if you are Hindu, then there are many gods, not just "1 god". So they are believing in their religion, which may (or may not) conflict with your religion.
They believe in their religion. You believe in yours. You are free to think that their gods do not exist or are not real. You are free to believe in your god. But they are free to believe in their gods, and to them, your god is is not a real god, it is "nothing". What I take issue with is your saying that their gods do not exist or are "nothing".
You can believe in your god, and they can believe in theirs. But you can not force them to believe in your god as the only god, maybe they have a different god that they do believe in? Your god may not be their god, but they are entitled to their beliefs. So are you. So to them, your "nothing" is not nothing, it is something; and your god is "nothing" to them.

Pickle: You can say what you have to say, but your kinda being unfair about this. Feeling your religion is more right then another religion, but that is untrue. We all believe in a God right? We may have different perspectives of our God, but they arn't all different. We believe God is the creator, right? That is a definition of God, but one that comes up a lot is "ultimate reality." Does this definition work for all the religions? Yes, it does, so how are they any different?
About monotheistic and polytheistic religions, it goes for the same thing. How is it wrong to have multiple Gods? That's my question.
Xuzz, I don't see how anyone could be atheist. Not dissin or anything, but I just don't see it. Maybe you could care to discuss your beliefs? =] |

| | | You guys are treating God as a thing, or something that simply beleving in it makes it exist. this is not a god. A God does not exist simply beccause you say it does. God is only 1 single and magnifesent(yes spelled wrong...) meaning he is the ONLY God I dont care what you say. simply because hindu for instance beleves there is a different god that there is, this is not so.
we live in a world where people are afraid to speak there mind because they are afraid they will offend someone, this is not said anywhere in the bible(a certain amount of respect is due but..), most true christans men these days are quite, passive, overal very weak people, this is not as it is saposed to be, we should stand up for our faith when challenged.
That is basicly why your so upset bye me, I am not like other christians I will speak up when its needed,I am not at all afraid of arguments(Im quite good at them orally but in typing people tend to only notice my spelling errors...)
some people say it is better to simply act like a christian and that will draw people in, I personally think that debates on issues is often neccesary. The other Gods of hindu,wikka,muslim,the three hundred somethin chinies gods, all of thos? They dont evan exist. |
