daledude | Longest Standing Golds CompetitionKind of like the Golden club, but it counts days on individual Golds. Or maybe the days that one person has had one gold. Maybe it's too similar to the golden club? I don't know, but it might be cool. |

| | | If there were to be a competition like this, we cant just choose levels as our golds, look at vegas time on the right way, its not going to be beaten any time soon... and there are other similar golds that are really good. Everyone will be in first for too long.
And the first option, to me it sounds like it tells you how many days you have had any gold. And so if you have 5, the first day u get a point and if you lose 3 you still get points every day until you have no golds left. Then you are out and however many days you had golds for is how many points you get.
What about people that arent going to lose all their golds??? Me, cirenco, kris, vega, pmd, and many more are not losing all our golds so we will just be tied.
If this contest were to work it would have to be something such as, what Dale's title suggests... the longest standing gold. It will take your longest gold and will give you a point per day for the gold. THen there is chart of all the longest standing golds. And if i have 300 days for one level, i get 300 points. If someone has 244 day they get 244 points. That is the only way i see this working. IT is very long term... but older players may be up in the rankings here. |

| | | I think Mike is the closest to what I'm thinking here. It's less of a competition and more of a place to remember great golds. You would get one point per day you had a gold on a certain level and the count would be saved and then reset once you lost it. So the person with the most consecutive days holding a single gold on a single level would be in first. We might have to limit the number to either one entry per player or only 100 or so entrants. There would be a ton of entrants if everything was counted. I like my first idea more though since only 98 players have ever held a gold. It would make the list more manageable.
Older players will definitely have an advantage here, but I think it is a good way of remembering a great gold that stood for a long long time. |

| | | Daledude's idea is very cool. I think there should be 2 parts to it.
part 1
longest standing gold
1 person only recognized
based on one individual run and counted by # of days held
part 2
Total Gold days for each level
All historical gold holders recognized
Basically a total gold point tally for each level. Example: I had 16.88 as gold on Underground, then Oliver beat it, then I took it back with 16.68. Or better example. I had gold on Sinus Mountains for several months before I submitted the jump trick and beat my own gold. The total point tally would simply add all days up that each player held the gold for that level, regardless of which individual run it was. Seems pretty easy to do bcuz all the numbers are already there.

| | | by the way.... there is an important reason for part 2. Because if the longest standing were the only one, then you would never want to beat your own gold if it's long standing and you are going for the record |

| | | yea, that would be cool.
On the main level page for each level, underneath the picture of the level it can say, longest record for gold on this level: "Name" "# of days" |

| | | what if we used vegas two ideas but we had them on one page. for idea 2 recognize the top five people and the second i agree to recognizing one. also we should have them all one one page for idea two but at the same time when you click a page for a level it should show the person whose had the most gold days on the level |
