map button

half the time i press the map button during a game it goes to calender and loses my place when i was doing good too. it is extremely anoying. i cant even use the map because im afraid it will exit!

I happens here too (with different buttons). AFAIR Sz is aware of this bug.

It only occurs for me (Tungten E) when I'm pressing a directional key and hit the map key at the same time. It REALLY ticks me off.

Another thing is when I pause the game and go back by pushing a key. In versions before 1.4 it negated the actual FUNCTION of the key press and just unpaused the game. Now, say I'm hauling butt across a straightaway, and I pause it... hit down to unpause, I break hard and end up dead.

Are you pressing the button twice in succession very rapidly? If so, it does that on my T3 as well.

Otherwise, see if this helps for the time being...
Menu --> Options --> Control --> More Control Options button

UNcheck - Don't Ask Before Quitting
check - Disable Other keys

No, what happens to me is it quits if lets say, I'm accelerating and I check the map. I happen to be holding down UP and it will quit.

i figured out how to stop it by changing the map button to the
select bnutton on the 5 way navigator. it works o.k. but it deppends on how your navigator is shaped. i have to hold it down though. it eliminates any exiting, thats whats important.
