Scoring is based on the total time needed to complete all levels.

Only consecutive levelpacks count; New Deal and Old School do not count because you did not finish Sweet Fifteen.

How about changing this so that as you complete successive level packs you appear repeated times for each total. So, rather the the top of the 5LP showing those that have ONLY completed 5 it shows the total for those that have completed AT LEAST 5, this means that players that are lucky, sorry skilled, enough to complete 11 LPs will actually appear 11 times in the list. And if they really do have the best total race for the first 5LPs then it will show that.
It's effectively 11 separate rankings, but all strung together to show the true standings - an player's ultimate rank being the highest that they appear.
I think this is better than a total race for each individual LP as that is barely any different than the points rankings for each pack, this is a cumulative total that better shows how everyones total race compares. Currently Rachman appears at the top of 5LP because he hasn't played any more, this would show whether MikeF really does have a better total race for the first 5LPs! (I suspect he does!)
This is basically the same As Vega's initial suggestion, just highlighting that you only qualify for say 5LP total if you complete the first 5packs, not just any 5 packs - it's a building cumulative total...

I completely agree Ibanez.

Yes this is exactly what I suggested..... but Ibanez communicated the explanation of this more clearly than I did. Way to go Ibanez.

Yes; I want to know how DavidKing compares to Mike Flips, since he has not been in the Total Race since Sweet Fifteen was released.

This won't quite work... you don't know which level packs have been completed....

which makes me think that some people with times in the 6-7 completed pack range may not be comparing total times from the same completed packs... only the same total number of completed packs.

What you guys are all talking about is having a seperate "total time" competition for each level pack.

I think.
