Scoring is based on the total time needed to complete all levels.

Guys, i've found an interesting fact. In this total race, if we look all contestant who finished several levelpack, we can get every leader of the finisher of those pack is a legendary bod player, except the one who finished with three levelpack (which is a new player)
The leader of one levelpack is Jason Jerome, 2 levelpack is Carlo, 3 levelpack is Gustavo, 4 levelpack is Oliver, 5 levelpack is rachman!, 6 levelpack is Prayer, 7 levelpack is Davidking, 8 levelpack is Gus, 9 levelpack is Cirenco (just temporary until he finish all levels in old school) and 10 levelpack is absolutely Mike Flips

hmmm but... if you took compared on a level pack basis, such as if rachman! only played 5 level packs, if you took everyone else that has played 5 or more, he would not be the leader, not even close. But yea it is interesting.

Henoch - I am interested in what you mean by this. I am trying to understand but am not following you...... How could Prayer or Gus or JJ or any of these other players be the leader of any level packs? Mike Flips and Cirenco have them all beat in pretty much all packs. So I don't get it

amazing discovery!
and it's not an accident - it works because the ranking takes the subsequent packs in order of their appearance. todays champions are better in first 5 levelpacks than rachman was in his days, but todays champions also play newer levelpacks so they are evaluated in the higher "leagues" while rachman stays in 5 LP and he is still the best player there.

Ok I just looked at the current Total Race and I see now that Sz has a added a very interesting aspect to this. He grouped them by number of levelpacks completed, so now you don't technically have to have finished all levels to be somewhere in total race grouping...... but the players at the top of of each levelpack group do not have the competition of all the players that have finished more level packs than them. It would be more interesting to have the players who have completed all 10 packs to be included in the scoring of all level pack groupings, because if that were the case, JJ, Gus, Prayer etc etc would not be at the top. Mike and Cir would be at the top of each grouping had not submitted for these new packs but what I don't understand is why I'm not on there. I have completed Old School, so shouldn't I have a ranking in the 1/LP grouping

Sz - I didn't see your postings before I had submitted my comment

I see what you are saying, but technically Rachman is no longer the best player for all players that completed the same 5 LP that Rachman completed. He is the best player for players who have ONLY completed 5 LP. But if you take Mike Flips times on all the same levels that Rachman submitted for, MF's score would wax Rachman's. So yes it's pretty cool feature added (better than it was previously) but it's good to understand that the players at the top of their levelpack grouping are not necessarily the best Total Race player for that amount of LP.

yes that is what i meant for my total race idea. a different page that has no effect on ranking showing the total race from each individual pack. so one page for standard and one for sweet fifteen.so on and so on. but i think sz has earned himself a break for a while dont you

bones - I suggested this idea a while back (total race for each levelpack) but it was shot down in the forum. It's kinda pointless, since Sz has already created 90 million ways from here to Mars on how to rank everyone. I too agree that Sz has done an awesome job with catering to everyone's playing style. Great job Sz....seriously. Thanks helping with the new levelpack, and bonus points, and total race, etc...etc.......... you really listen to the players and implement good ideas very well. Thanks!
