Haha, talladega nights is one of the funniest movies of all time
Mr.pickle.

My treo 755, is not working..it just keeps resetting, never even getting to the menu screen

I can't get it to hard reset or anything, not to mention I havent backed it up in the last 3 weeks....meaning all my times in winter pack will be lost ahh well...I can get thos back, but that is assuming I get my treo up and running again...

Anyone know about anything that cuases a treo to mess up that bad?

I am thinkin I might have to get a centro if we can't replace it..
Lee
Ah, young Gherkin-Boy... did we not have this self-same discussion over a year ago?
Why, of why, oh why did you not go and purchase a mini SD card and regularly back up to it?
I would love to be sympathetic, but ANYONE that runs a volatile-state memory device with no on-board back up storage is a few shillings short of a guinea.
Spence
Yes we did Lee, and I feel no compassion towards his potential loss. Personally I never backed up my palm on-board but I hot synced every time I got some worthy runs.

If its a software problem, you can usually re-flash it off a correctly formatted card.
Mr.pickle.
i have a vista computer, meaning hotsinc dont work.

i only get a chance to back it up on my dadas work computer every so often, I actually have a memmory card, its just ritarded and don't work right...
Lee
so, just to clarify...

Stupid Vista doesn't Sync (REALLY?)
Ritarded[sic] memmory[sic] card don't[sic] work right.

I do have a vague idea of what might cuase[sic] a treo to mess up that bad, but I don't think you would like the answer.

For future use - the abbreviation of "does not' is actually doesn't, or do'n't. Don't is an instruction. - though maybe you are actually telling the phone not to work, or sync correctly.

You know... if you use chrome, or firefox, you can have the typing window tell you if you aren't spelling properly, and actually suggest corrections on right click context.

Good luck with the phone and all that though.
Kristopher
I'm sure I had Hotsync working on 32-bit Vista for my T3, but it doesn't work for 64-bit Vista.
_alex_
ye, i can't my vista to synch, i synch on my old computer that my lil bro uses now, its the one i used ages ago so it works fine. my t/x came with a free memory card so if i wanna submit here in boarding school i save times to that the submit em like that, search google wiht ur problem maybe u'll find something ^^
Mr.pickle.
Lee, my parents don't like me downloading stuff onto the computer, they seem to think anything not made by microsoft is sure to have thousands of viruses in it.....

but,I called the warruanty place today, and they managed to get it working agian, over the phone. All my info is lost tho..I will get most of it back when I hotsinc but I am going to have to get back 7 winter pack golds

I will probably just settle for top 10 now tho.....

Anywho, I got it workin agian yay!
Gus
Mr.pickle., I know your pain. As BoD veterans will know, I've had more than my fair share of missing golds by dying palms and the like. If you can't/won't back stuff up, just sync it ASAP, even if you're not gonna submit it then and there. That way you can always have another chance. I still reflect bitterly on the day that my 19:60 Sawtooth time was destroyed. Try and save the data more often, as too frequent "deletions" make people doubt the veracity of your claims. At least you won't blitz past me quite so fast when you do submit!
