I would agree that the most exciting thing is to see a new route, or an approach that adds to a level. matching someone elses time, or getting a gold is certainly impressive in this stage of the competition, but PMDs point makes it best.
people might say someone like Rachman wouldn't be in the top 10 today, but he would still be the kind of person who would find just plain nutty routes... there's no taking that one memorable trick away from peoples memories - long after someone has copied the route and taken your medal! - at least you can claim the kudos for that being "yours"
that's how to get in to peoples memories... a sure fire way for people to wish they could forget you is to spam the message board with self obsessed comentary, flaming comments against others, or just plain meaningless prattle... there have been a few of those guys.
I think that having the head to head and "pause control" function is going to allow those not in the medal running to show others a trick they are proud of, or even show how close they got to a good time in a head to head that maybe they didn't even finish.

I can see some of the old bikers still playing, Lee for example, it was amazing seeing you in top10, man! you improved your gaming incredibly!!.. but well... I see volcano very often and we remember bike or die times as some of the best ever...keep playing guys, thanks SZ. Greatest game.. |

| | | I'm honored to be mentioned in Hotwire's question about new players, but I don't consider myself "arrived" just yet. I've only been here about 4 months. Pickle and Cody have only been here 7 or 8 months.
With 100,000 games under my belt now, I feel like my skills are improving, but I haven't focused on one level long enough to medal. My focus has been on improving Total Race and improving my worst score levels.
Good submit, Spence. I don't know about the rest of you guys on Page 3, but I think it's about time to move pages . |

| | | Looming at the points differences I cannot see how I will be able to get to the top 100. My resonable sized submit earlier on got me 7 places. Grrr. |
