| | | pickle - you might be surprised to hear that it is only in the USA that the USA is leading the medals tables... everywhere else in the world, people are totalling golds first, then silver....
Except in New Zealand, where we are taking the total number of any medals "per capita" for the medal table, which puts us way nearer the top, cos there's only 4M of us. |

| | | I actually noticed the very same thing. It was kind of funny. At home, most coverage I saw showed China in first with the occasional one showing the U.S. But when I was in NYC for the last few days, EVERY single thing showed the U.S. as first place. |
