It'll be great. Right now the bike takes up about half the screen, which is good for precision, but when falling down or going at high speed down a hill, it's pretty much left to luck. But the problems temporarily solved with the map now
I third this idea. I would like to see this implemented. If this could be done even on low-res devices all the better. On hi-res+ devices a less detailed, blurry biker but with more view would be awesome.
This game was a turn off because of how much space the biker took up on the screen and how little space you could see around you. I actually thought the game would be like the Macromedia Flash playbacks on this site.... you could see the WHOLE level or ALOT of it at once. Before the 'anytime map' feature, gameplay levels were either about memorizing them or playing in front of your PC so you could see the map preview there. For me, the Map Button was the game's saving grace.
While we're talking about the map, would like to see 2 other things added to the map:
-location of mines
-to scale objects appropriately.... this was already requested by someone else on this forum
Would this be implemented like the zoom feature in Bike or Design? I think, even it there were only two zoom settings (50% or 100%), it would be good. When you zoom out on a hi-res Palm, the game could use the picture for the low-res mode. It wouldn't work for low-res Palms, but that is okay, because zooming out on a low-res Palm would not look detailed enough.
I keep saying would...
And even if it takes 400MhZ to run the next BOD well, that is okay, because Palm won't make them fast until it needs to. The T3 is about three years old, but it is still among the fastest Palms- that has to change.
