One hand? Huh?
So basically then one thumb? That doesn't sound right.
I use 2 thumbs and they are both put to work full time when playing so I don't see how it's possible to score well with one thumb

2 thumbs here. Left thumb for left, right thumb for everything else.

Left thumb for go (or up) and 'occasionally' left when necessary. Right thumb for everything else (including usually left). And yes that does indeed mean that my thumbs are crossed quite often while playing

I remember realizing I'm crazy with the recent discussion about the button layout on a Treo 650. I use only my left thumb, and my controls are set to default. One of the things I love about this game is that it gives us the freedom to decide how we play - different devices, button layouts, hand/thumb configurations, levels, routes, etc.
There's a lot of button mashing involved, but it's so much more than that - it has an intellectual edge too.

I think the T|X, T5, Treos, and Zires all have the same 5-way navigator. It seems like it would be hard to do balance+accelerate or flip+accelerate with only one hand.

on the tx i can use my thumb to hit two buttons at once not including the flip button.

I find it hard to play with 2 thumbs. But I think it's cause I have big fingers xD And I play the same way you do jx =O and last but not least, I reserved brawl

I switched accelerate and flip, so I use my right hand to accelerate and can lean to the other buttons (this works but is painful

). I also use my left hand just to hover over the space bar that is set to restart.
