| | | Mike Flips - You brought up a couple of good points. Although I wasn't around when Rachman was breaking records, I will agree with you that most (not all of course) of his games are not nearly as impressive now as they may have once been. Rachman may have raised the bar in his time, but his rankings have significantly dropped since more people have joined. I play a little differently anyway...I am not so much concerned about my ranking in any levels. I just try to have absolutely perfect runs and am not satisfied until I know I cannot do better. It just always seems to land me a gold. It appears that Rachman and some of the other old timers did not play out the levels perhaps as much as they could have. But... to each his own ....right? Like I said, maybe one day BOD will have 10,000+ members in the Time Trials and it will be the same story for us..........

| | | which is why I only ran this route if I "missed" the catch on the slope. I would just immediately improvise and take rachman's route, but it's not as quick. Mid 40s would be the best time here
by the way, rachman commented a few months ago and said he was going to play some of the new levels. Has anyone heard from him since?

| | | I just wanted to give rachman a shout-out here. A lot of rachman's times have been waxed. This is one of his best runs on any level that I have seen from him. My best time taking this route is 42.14. Granted I put my efforts toward developing my run using the other route, but this is still a fantastic game and the top submitted time using this route

|  | | When Xuzz mentions eternal GC producers, he is talking about Bottle and Shelf. The only reason rachman and DK still have the top spot is that they were first to get the limiting time on those levels.
The problem for newer players like me is that these limiting times were reached before we started playing. Although several players have 121 pts on both levels, no one but rachman and DK will ever get GC pts for them.

| | | I am sorry Kris....but you're logic is flawed. So I hope you'll respect the fact that I just can't agree with what you are saying here. Vin's accomplishments are no longer as great as you're current accomplishments. It doesn't mean that Vin is not good, or Rachman, or Prayer. It simply means their accomplishments have been bested and are no longer worthy of being considered 'the best'. That is how all sports, records, and competitions work. If a new person came along and acheived EXACTLY the same scores as Rachman in all Rachman's levels, he would never acheive the same accolades and BOD fame as Rachman previously once knew. And that is exactly as it should be. The golden club is the only ranking system BOD has that, by default, honors & acknowledges great accomplishments of the past for the players of "that time". I agree with Mike that there should be a great accomplishents system in place of a Gold Club. But perhaps it should only be for Gold, Silver and Bronze. Keeping track of how many days all players held #4 and #5 would be a very long list...But I wouldn't be against it if that's what the players want and if Sz could use the same method of calculation that is used for Golden Club then it probably wouldn't be very dificult to implement
