I had the glitch at the end happen a few times early on, so spent a lot of time getting it to work for me - it being random and uncontrollable, and you have to land on the little curved platform a certain way. Took an awful lot of failures before this happened...  |

Maybe you could pair it with snagging the top portal from beneath? That seems like it would take a lot of luck for one run, and I'm guessing it would still be slower. |
