Great to see you back man. Great run.

Shame about your obvious health problems.

Burning off the excess ear wax with implanted medieval torches never worked for me , but - hey...

Plus the derm-abrasion looks a little excessive.

Axle Rose without the skin (nice of him to gift you the bandanna though...).

Seriously though.

That is a lovely run.

Thanks Andrew. Yah this is what I like to call complete level domination. And I'm not trying to brag, honestly. But if you take a look at pages 66-67 of my games on-line section, you can see that I had beaten Xuzz's 43:12 gold 11 times and was at 42:48. So why continue playing? Because I wanted an 'eternal gold' here. I hit a serious wall of resistance in the mid 42.xx range.

I like to imagine that the 12 runs I've posted ahead of Xuzz's time were 12 games that could have been posted by other players over say... a 3-4 year period, pushing Xuzz out of the top 10. Well... if you think about it, I have done that single handedly, ensuring all the more that my 42:46 will remain way out in front for a long time to come.

I have done this with many levels, including Christmas, Blizzard, Grand Canyon, Double Sprint (which worked for a long time), and the best example ever is The Right Way, which I had beaten my own new gold over 40 times unnecessarily. This has allowed my 19:08 game from 2006 to remain at gold all these years. This is why, even after 2 years of no games submitted, I still held 15 golds.

Thanks again bud.

You are more than welcome mate.

I will check out your other (newly posted) runs (which I'm sure are equally breathtaking) when I've recovered from last night.

Brother in laws significant birthday.

Boy, I do talk crap when I'm happy and full of beer

"Axle Rose without the skin"

?

Obviously it should have been Johnny Depp...

Looking forward to the pleasure when I can focus my old eyes again... (and I do wish you would compete more widely. Hmmm?).

welcome back.

some times you just get in a rhythm on a level and you know you can keep knocking off time.
It doesn't always matter if someone else is trying hard on the same level... you just want to go FASTER!

That is so true Lee. Once you learn exactly how to play a level just right, you can duplicate a killer run time after time. When you're in that 'groove', beating your ghost is much less laborious. It becomes fun, because you know if you die, you can go back at it again easily. There were some runs on Pirates where I was landing on the ship, slated for a high 42.xx finish, and started over on purpose because I knew I wasn't gonna beat my ghost and I wasn't gonna save/watch the run anyway. Pretty funny too, because most people would be sweatin bullets if they were just about to land a high 42, hoping not to mess it up... and now I would just cancel out of it like I'm bored.
