Better, but I definitely have not nailed this one yet. Bad ending again. I'll get that right eventually.
It is once about every 25 runs that I get a start like Mikes. Then my turn around at the bottom is good about 1 out of every 10. Then the drop to get the two flags down the side is right about 1 out of every 5. So add that all up and it makes for difficult going.
Not quite Coal Miners Rescue, but it takes a few runs to get it just right.
So you have 1 of 25 = 4%.
Then 1 out of 10 (of the 4%) = 0.4%
Then 1 out of 5 (of the 0.4%) = 0.08%
This means you should get all of these things to happen for you every 1 in 1250 runs. But then we have to factor in the fact that even if all this happens you may not get the gold medal. It may take 5 completions of this level (with all the parts done well) until you get the gold time. Therefore you can expect the gold in as little as 1250 and up to 6250 tries.
While those stats are true, as I play the level more, I find slightly better ways to do it and I am getting each part a little more consistently. We'll see if it holds. My guess is less than 1000 tries will do it.
