I'm not sure if you understand what I meant, but it *can't* slow you down if you do it right. Once you are flying towards the finish, if you flip fast, the bike wheels will be farther away from your center of mass. I.e. your center of mass could be 200 pixels away from the finish when you get it, instead of 160 pixels. That could let you get the finish at least one frame sooner because you don't have to get so close to the finish to touch it with one of your wheels.
