I found a new drop move that saves at least a second. Unfortunately, I goofed up the final run to the flag. Freeze it at 18:30 and take a look |

| | | After watching this run, I am inclined to believe that this new drop move found you! I dare anyone to reproduce this drop! |
| Vega
| | | Alpha - at first, I thought the exact same thing. It looks like a total fluke... but then I watched from 17.xx to 20.xx about a dozen times and it actually looks like it can be reproduced over and over so long as you hit the final balloon mid flip, hold for a sec, and then immediately flip direction to come out with an exit like Brian did. I bet you can start from 12.xx and practice 12.xx through 21.xx until you are sick of it, and then play the whole track and reproduce it on at least 20% of attempts. |

| | | I'm fairly certain I've done this before. Also, hey guy. Hows it goin? |
| Alpha
| | | First, this move found BB, meaning that I bet he did not do it intentionally - it just happened!
Then we need to talk about reproducibility... I guess, in theory, the move can be reproduced as you described, but I have a hard time believing the 20% estimate. I am willing to try it for a while, but I still dare anyone to try it and record the number of trials to success, just to check the 20% estimate.
Now, when should a move be called a "fluke" - 1 in 100 attempts (1%), 1 in 1,000 (0.1%), 1 in 10,000 (0.01%) etc.? |

| | | Overrated, Brian. And not because you finally have more golds than me.
Vega, when you write about playing the same level a million times, it scares me.
Alpha, see comment about Vega.
Hey Spence! |

| | | Alpha is correct that this move "found" me... I didn't plan it. That drop involves some crazy luck, all depending on how you leave the tank chute (angle, speed, etc.). I can't tell you the number of times I've died at the checkpoint flag.
Interesting question about fluke vs. move. I've invested nearly 4,000 tries on my iPhone on this level. I'm not sure I could get that move in another 4,000 tries. Vega, the problem with practicing from 12.xx is that you never know exactly how you'll end up after coming across the first 5 parachutes.
Laser, if it's not about the golds, is it the 1,000+ points difference? Also, you should fear the Golden Club... I'm closing in on you now . If things stay as they are, I'll pass you in the year 2079!
Hi Spence! It's great to see you on here. |

| | | What Vega described is *exactly* how I learned to do my Lasertag route, and that route to me is not a "fluke" at all. I can complete it on far more than 20% of my attempts, I know exactly how it is done, exactly where and when to brake and tilt the bike.
Then you have a level like Steps, I've completed the actual trick probably more than either spence or thchamp, but it still feels like a fluke to me. As the H2H shows on that level I'm marginally ahead at the jump but lose ground because I can't keep my bike flat after succeeding.
All that said, I have no idea for this level, haven't tried the trick and I'm unlikely too, I excel more at thinking of new things for new levels, with the exception of steps, I only did that because I wanted to be in the tiny crowd of people who had done it, and rather than like this trick cutting off a second or so, it cuts off upwards of 15-20 seconds. |
