Yeah, in some levels is a disadvantage, but in others it helps you make a better start. I would've still have my medal in Pick Five if I had restarted after dying and not manually, but other levels like King Kong or No Escape are actually better for me this way. Spence, you use an iPhone or a Palm? Because my friends who play on Palms haven't noticed this...

Ive been using that trick since time began. Not really but on certain levels it does make a big difference like my level No Escape you can jump further in the beginning usually if you manually restart.

i made a level that was just a flat road, which at the end it had a finish flag, I tried it, and he is right. It makes 1 frames woth of difference, depending on how you restart.

However,if you make the road VERY long(as long as the editor will allow, while still taking away the element of chance)the way which is normally slower,is in fact 2 frames faster.

Its sort of confusing,but interesting.

Neca, I have never noticed that. Are you saying the biker is essentially 'taller'?
I'm trying to recreate what you explained but I fail to see a difference. The only thing I noticed is the quick downward jolt the biker gets when first starting and that happens with manual restart and when you die. It happens practically instantly so I don't think it would have an effect on times.

I have only compared the iPhone version with one Palm, and really don't remember mine, but the gameplay is identical except for one thing I have noticided: whenever you restart a level using the restart command, the biker's head (sticky guy) starts a little higher than when you restart after dying. This actually affects the times you can achieve in a lavel, it seems that by starting higher you are slower. I have compared this in many levels and happens every time. Hope it gets fixed.

Well, you probably have years experience. With 4 silvers and a rank of 16, I'd imagine most levels are easy for you. I just started a week ago :p

The Winter pack was just added a few months ago. Thats why new players can so easily pass old players that haven't completed them.

Yea that's too bad. It seemed like you guys had a real active community. I'm about a week into it now and have climbed up to 358th place in the HoF Most people I pass by haven't been active since more than a year or two ago.
Are there any plans to add a new level pack to the HoF any time soon?

Welcome, VV. Your comment about wanting to play frisbee is hilarious. Trust me, we've all felt that way at some point. Just keep at it, you'll catch on.

As for the physics between the iphone and palm, they are the same. Take a look at some of Tylers games (he plays on the iphone). His bike does the same thing as palm players. It won't take you long to discover the fine line between going fast and going too fast .

Keep it up!
