Well good point, but there are really only 2 levels that this will actually cause this problem and hopefully it will never climb to 3 (provided that we have all learned how to recognize what levels create bottle times and are careful to not allow those types of levels into the HoF anymore). So these 2 levels only should be excluded from all that. They very well should be anyway

I think, the ranks are "already" the same. When i look at my time on downhill madness or equisplateral i see myself as 4 and 9 instead of 9 and 21 respectively (i think these are the right numbers.) Changing the rankings would be fine but it doesnt make a difference.

In terms of golds, why not give golds for similar times? They did get the same time. Just for levels with 3 or more golds of the same time we should not count them.

Don't forget, the points were directly related to the level ranking when they started this thread, so they were mostly concerned with their scoring in the Time Trial. It will have less effect now, since the same points are awarded for the same time now, and it really only affects a few levels in the Medals by Country and Golden Club. I think it is fine now, and don't forget, if multiple people could tie for first and both be Gold medalists, then Shelf would really fill up the Medals by Country chart.

I just kinda found this topic by accident and I have always thought the same thing. I think the place ranking should be the same along with the points in the event of a tie. Prayer makes a great point at the top that just because someone came along first doesn't make their achievement any better. (Same reason why many people think it's silly that rachman is awarded a gold club point daily for his bottle gold and nobody else is). I don't see a problem with having the ranks tied as well as the points. So for example my rank on Clay Serpent would be 4 instead of 5 (Mata would remain at 4 as well) and Schneider would go from 6 to 5, Oliver from 7 to 6 etc... etc.

What does everyone think?

i agree about Downhill madness (bu must say it's pretty hard to get good time) but i dont agree about bike impossible because there u have to make severla good tricks to finish level in "short" maner.

p.s. SZ, could You please answer - are u going to make pocketpc version of BoD? because i am just thinkin' to sell my palm or not to sell. thanks.

well... i don't think that the general rule is inappropriate.
medals, like the world records go to the first person who makes the best time.
but of course this particular level ( Bottle Time Trial) is not well suited for the hall of fame

this reminds me about some other levels, where our bikers have found the way to shorten the route or solve the level differently from the designer expectations - like Bike Impossible Time Trial, Downhill Madness Time Trial. i'm tempted to "fix" these levels to make them more challenging. what do you think? as the tribute for the current champions of these levels, their performance (with movies) would be displayed on a special "greatest achievements" page. this would also happen with the "Bottle" (but it would be removed completely because there is no way to "fix" it)
