i'm sorry for the delay

it's because of the portals - their mechanics and the game integration proved more complicated than i imagined

this is the biggest single addition and it needed more coding and testing than updrafts, slippery/sticky surfaces and all previous new gameplay features combined.
well, i don't even know if the effort of implementing that particular feature is justified by its playability... but it seemed fun so i had to try.

and it is done, finally!

now i'm just adding/fixing some little details. it seems i will be able to publish the new version this week.

new idea for a portal level:

another new feature: some flags can be hidden until you collect the predefined number of flags. in this example they appear only after picking the previous flag (so you have to obey the sequence)

Did I ever suggest adding our own music to play in the background? I find if i try to run realplayer or a music program at the same time as BoD it makes BoD lag a bit.

actually, the plan was to make YOU create the new levelpack for v1.5

(so the initial v1.5 would be a kind of limited release beta, for advanced players/designers)

but perhaps this is not the best idea? (i mean, the "secret" levelpack, coming without any prior consulting is probably more interesting? and equally surprising for everyone

That sounds pretteh tight sz =D. 1 question though. Would you call meh an advanced player? =O Anyways yeah that would be tight. I cant wait for 1.5 to come out!

I like the levelpacks you have made Sz (especially Standard

), but I also really like that the players can design their own levels and then we can all vote which ones we like the best. Seems like we would be due for another levelpack pretty soon I guess. I haven't created any levels recently since I knew you ere working on some trick features for the new release and I figured I'd just make them with the new program

Very nice! I'm having trouble with my Zire 72s battery, but I'm sure I'll find a way to make more levels.

If Sz make the pack by himself, i guess it will be ready for this Autumn, but if the designer/advance player make it (well i'm not included in them because i'm just an ordinary player

), i guess the pack will be ready for Christmas and could be a winter pack.

And Vega, don't forget to make some movie pack again.. and you'll have a lot of feature for your pack on 1.5

I definitely vote for the Sz secret pack on release of 1.5, the way everyone saw NewDeal at the same time made it very interesting. This way Sz gets to show off his original ideas for the new features first...

ok! so i'm preparing the new pack to be released together with v1.5!

btw. what do you think about the following:

"zoom out"

it looks nice and it helps in some levels.
is it fair? it won't work on 160x160. it was not available until now so all existing recordings were made in different conditions.
but on the other hand, 480x320 screens give wider view than 320x320 and we do not call this "cheating". (also, you lose some detail while zooming out so there is always a tradeoff... obviously, the low resolution screen is always handicapped but this applies to most games and applications)

But don't worry about rushing the release. We can all wait a little longer since you are going to release a pack with it. I just don't want you to feel the need to rush this out. Take your time to make sure your levels are exactly what you want them to be and all the bugs are worked out

Zoom out looks great - I always thought those with a landscape view can see more of the play area and better see what's coming, I'm sure there are other pros and cons between the palm models so I think it's fair...

this is awsome but sz I think you should make the pack but then let us submit 1 leval and add all the good ones(tested bye you I dont like the Idia of a vote)to a new pack(like "next generashon pack) and then add thos ones also to the time trail. anyone else like this idia?

I'm not agree with you pickle. On the contrary, i like the idea of voting, that's call democracy.

Let Sz make the pack alone without our idea first to show how to implement all his idea together with the new bod 1.5. After that let all the designer make their levels using the new feature then let all of us vote for other new levelpack.

but what about only letting us each send in only one lvel if we each sent in packs thered be like a milloin to choose from.(theres only {Probebly}like 100 people who actaly play and make lvls consistantly in wich case sz could put alot more of them in).what do all the reall players(no offence henoch but I want to know what mike,vega,kristofer,david king.ect...think.
