| | | I would like ot report a bug.
When I'm playing the game, and I want to turn the Palm off, the game just freezes. Which forces me to do a soft reset, move the game to my card, delete it (so I don't have 2 versions of the game on my card). |
|
Nate
| | | I'll add to my report. After exiting the game, also crashes it. I exit the game (without crashing), and then when it goes to the card's menu, after about 2 seconds, the thing shows a "fatal Exception" error (Crash Pro, told me the error), and does a soft reset. this got with the other bug.
I know there's a "Report a Bug" section but I felt it was better to post here instead of there, I think |

| | | Which Palm do you have? On my Palms, it just pauses when turned off. Then I can resume the game by pressing [down] or tapping the screen. |

| | | nate, thanks for reporting. you said it goes to the card's menu - so you start the game from the card. does it crash when you start it from the internal memory?
for zire 31 i had to implement a different procedure for handling the buttons, sadly it was not tested after v1.4 changes. but cirenco, if you have tried v1.4 beta versions earlier, did they crash/freeze or is this behavior new in the official v1.4?
rejected recording: send me the recording file by email and i will see what is wrong support@toyspring.com |

Nate
| | | yes I do start the game from my Card.
As for starting the game from my internal memory, turning the power off while the game is running still freezes it. Exiting it, doesn't crash it, yet (and I stress the word "yet") |
|
Nate
| | | Okay, I found out why it crashes and does a soft reset. After I exited the game and hit the power button (to turn the palm off), that's when it crashes. It did it with BoD but it didn't do it after I exited a game I was using to test whether it was related to BoD or the operating systems. So the crashing is related to BoD. |

| | | ETA on the level editor?? |
|
Nate
| | | What about an ETA on the Bug Fix for BoDie? |

Nate
| | | -> How would you calculate this? Once you find the problem it should not be hard to fix.
Hey, I don't know how to make progs for my palm, so I can't calculate it. And I really would like to turn off my palm after exiting out of Bike or die without it crashing, and I really would like to turn my palm off while I'm playing BoD with out the Palm freezing. |

| | | I moved all recording to card, and disabled keeping anything in internal memory. Is it normal that now I am unable to access any recordings via "rec -> recorded games"? |
|
MacGuru
| | | Borszczuk, I had the same problem. Here's how to fix it.
Recording Options:
Location: Card
But Keep the following in Internal: (check)Current Levelpack Recordings.
|
|
MacGuru
| | | Doing that I can now locate the recorded levels from my latest hotsynch if I load up the level pack I want to upload then hotsync my Palm. |
|
Borszczuk
| | | another bug: I moved all levels to card. So on each start BoD "loads" built-in leves instead of my last chosen level pack (probably it looks for in in RAM only) |
|

| | | Another issue: I mapped "Map" to Mail key on my treo. It usually works ok (so it switch to map and back), but I am able, by rapidly pressing mail, to make PalmOS call app that is assigned to this key (SMS). And boom. My game is over (as BoD still does not snapshot the game in progress on exit |
